Letting go of relationships can be very difficult, even heart wrenching. It is weighty to find the balance of what you want in a relationship and the stories you play in your head as to what you are doing wrong; blaming yourself for a relationship that isn’t right for you. Even the abusive ones, whether it be mental or mean girls, letting go, feels like defeat and a sad loss.
It is important to look outwardly and search for the good, yes even in your abuser, otherwise you get caught up in your head. You replay those stories until they show up in your mind, having you believe that something is wrong with you. Those stories cause dis…ease. This dis…ease shows up as a disease, it could be mental or physical.
The reality is you were always fine, but someone else’s story got stuck in your head. At this point you need to be strong and step into trust. Trusting that things are working out for your best interest is liberating, it is the step in healing. Are you ready to step into seeing yourself as perfect the way you are at this moment?
